What is NEW in version 3.0?

The SIREs server (searching for IREs), backed by an in-house Python program for sequence searching, predicts iron-responsive elements (IREs) in both RNA and DNA sequences

Currently, functional, well-characterized, and published IREs are associated with motifs 1, 2, and 19. The remaining motifs are based on SELEX-derived sequences, and their classification as bona fide IREs remains unconfirmed due to the lack of functional validation.

Explore the documentation and FAQs sections for more information about the prediction algorithm and the IRE/IRP system.
